For over almost three months now the Umbrella Sky Project has made its debut in Miami, FL in the heart of Coral Gables. The colorful installation which was designed by Portuguese creative visionaries displays a little over 700 hanging umbrellas on top of the streets of Giralda Ave. It has drawn the attention of both locals and tourists alike and in my opinion has become one of the most “Instagramable” places in Miami to take summer photos. It seems like everyone I know (and their entire family) has already paid a little visit to this attraction and I am so glad I got to check it out for myself and get my fair share of photos taken as well as it will sadly be gone in a week from today!

If you haven’t already visited the installation then I would strongly really recommend for you to stop by sometime this week before it’s gone! You will find everything from shops to cafes and a variety of restaurants that serve some of the most delicious food in the area right beneath the installation making it even more of a reason to visit! Here are a few tips that I wanted to share with you before you visit:

1.) Go Super early – This is the best and most obvious tip that I could give anyone visiting. Make sure to go super early in the morning that way you can beat the crazy heat and crowd. I would say a good time to go is between 7-9 am. Plus, the natural lighting for photos is always the best in the early morning! 2.) Bring a bottle of water with you – The heat and humidity the past few months in South Florida have been very brutal so it’s always a good idea to carry a cold bottle of water with you or you can always stop by Pasion del Cielo and order a iced raspberry white chocolate mocha, which is super refreshing and my absolute favorite!

Here are some of the photos that I wanted to share with you all during my first time visit and mini fashion photo shoot session at the Umbrella Sky Project, I really hope you will enjoy them! For my look I went with something very simple that won’t take away from the main focus, the umbrellas. I wore a peach colored dress from Old Navy that has a heart print on it and that is knee length and sleeveless along with some white comfy sandals from Payless Shoesource because after all nothing says summer like a cute dress and sandals right?

I am honestly really sad to say goodbye to this beautiful installation and really wished that it became a permanent part of Coral Gables and South Florida in general. It definitely brought a lot of color, life, and smiles to the city, and it became a memorable place to spend time with family and friends. I will really miss it dearly!
