Last weekend my family and I had the chance to check out the limited time only Pixar Putt Pop-Up that is located at Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale. In case you haven’t heard of Pixar Putt it’s an ultimate mini golf experience that features 18 fun and interactive holes inspired by Disney Pixar movies! Each themed interactive hole is inspired by one of the following Pixar movies: Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, Cars, Soul, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Brave, Coco, Inside Out, Onward, Luca, A Bug’s Life, Ratatouille, Toy Story, and UP!

Each player gets several attempts to make the ball in the hole and some holes are a bit more challenging than others. I would say that The Incredibles and Brave were two of the most challenging ones and the least challenging one was Finding Nemo since it was a straight shot. My favorite hole out of all of them was the UP themed one because once the same two player team made their balls in the hole they would manually raise the little UP house and move it on top of the Paradise Falls waterfall replica as featured in the film. I also really loved the Toy Story Alien themed hole because it was setup like you were inside of the claw so I thought that was super fun!

Overall, I think this is a great and fun little activity to do with the whole family especially if you and your kids are Disney and/or mini golf lovers. My daughter Lily even got to play a bit with us since they kindly provide you with mini putters for the little ones. My husband and I had a lot of fun but we also made sure to take breaks in between each hole under the umbrellas since we went during the early afternoon where there weren’t so many people present but it was extremely hot. Our reservation was at 2:30pm but I definitely do not recommend going at that time (or any of the other early afternoon times) since it’s outdoors and the Florida heat is no joke!

Aside from the heat, we still enjoyed working our way throughout the 18-hole course and we loved all of the cute characters and wall photo ops! Lily especially loved Woody from Toy Story her favorite!

If you’re interested in checking out Pixar Putt with your family, friends, or with your husband/partner as a fun date night idea then there is actually some great news for you! The pop-up has just been extended an extra week because of popular demand and it will be available until April 2nd, 2023. You need to make a reservation online and select the date and time slot you would like to visit on their website: Pixar Putt – Fort Lauderdale

Tickets start at $27 for anyone over the age of 12 and $22 for children ages 12 and under. There is also a Family Pack option which is $83 and includes admission for two adults and two children. Something else to point out is that they also offer affordable weekday options and even Pixar Putt After Dark which is for adults ages 18+ and takes place Thursdays through Saturdays from 7-10pm! This is a great option for those people who want to do a date night or just hang out with friends.

A few tips that I highly recommend if you decide to visit:

  • Make sure to bring a hat and sunglasses and wear light summer clothing such as shorts, a t-shirt, and sneakers
  • Drink lots of water and come hydrated because they do not allow outside food or drinks
  • Try to go in the morning or late afternoon/evening because of the heat since this is outdoors (I definitely do not recommend going in the early afternoon like we did because of the intense heat) ** Note: Also be aware that parking costs can vary from $30-$50 depending on where you park nearby since it’s right by the beach **

I really hope you guys get the chance to check it out before it’s gone and let me know in the comments below what you think about it and/or if you would like to check it out!
