In the beginning of March I visited the Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Florida for the first time. The reason for my visit was to have brunch with a few bloggers at the new restaurant located inside the resort called Point Royal. Let me just start off by saying that I was blown away with the space and beautiful details of the restaurant! There were plants everywhere, large windows, beautiful gold accent decor, and chairs that looked like part of a French cafe.

The brunch that we had was served Buffet style so as you can imagine there were so many delicious options to choose from! They had everything from pastries to a cereal bar, a wide selection of fruits, a cheese and meats charcuterie bar, a salad bar with fresh toppings, variety of chilled and hot selections such as sausages and fried chicken biscuits, and my favorite: a create your own omelet station! A few of my favorite things that I ate that day were: the Tortilla Espanola that was topped with a delicious spicy chorizo aioli sauce, the pork and chicken sausages which were very juicy and had lots of flavor to them, the smoked salmon which tasted really fresh, and the fried chicken biscuits and crispy breakfast potatoes. Last but not least, the spinach and goat cheese omelet was the best part out of the whole meal because it had so much flavor to it and was seriously to die for!

Overall, I really enjoyed the food because there was so much variety that people can choose from and everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Besides the food I also enjoyed the the ambiance and the service. The waiters were not only friendly but also very attentive as well and made sure to always bring us refills of orange juice and coffee. I absolutely loved that the brunch included that because who doesn’t love endless cups of coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning? It was just perfect!! After the brunch we took a tour around the newly renovated resort and we got to see one of the rooms where guests can stay at. The interior of the room was really beautiful and had really simple tropical style artwork and was very spacious and had a very clean and modern look to it. However, the best part of the room was the incredible outdoor view from the balcony! The view was phenomenal because you could see Hollywood Beach, the pool, and the ocean plus you get to feel the ocean breeze.

Besides the room and the lobby we also got to see all of the other cool restaurants that the resort had on its property such as Diplomat Prime, Portico Beer & Wine Garden, and Bristol’s Burgers. My favorite part of the whole tour was walking outdoors only to find a beautiful outdoor space filled with cool furniture, a vintage Volkswagen, a water fountain, and a beautiful view of the water filled with boats! It was the perfect place to stop for a moment and snap a couple of photos!

After checking out all of the restaurants we ended our awesome day at the Diplomat Resort and Spa by relaxing in a few cabanas by the pool! As soon as we got to our cabanas we noticed these lovely thoughtful notes and beautiful turkish towels that were kindly given to us as a gift by the staff of the resort. As if a brunch, tour, and gift wasn’t enough they also gave us some bottles of champagne to enjoy by the pool all while celebrating the weekend!

After relaxing by the pool I decided to stay a little longer at the resort and take some more photos of the lobby and check out The Hotel Bar. For those who don’t know The Hotel Bar is an indoor-outdoor bar that serves unique cocktails and drinks that are inspired by other historic hotel bars from around the world. A few featured drinks that they offer are the Toasted Marshmallow Old Fashioned and the Singapore Sling and their menu is in the form of a passport which I thought was very clever and adorable!

Overall, I had a truly unforgettable experience at the resort and am definitely coming back soon! I want to thank the Fort Lauderdale Bloggers for giving me this amazing opportunity and to the Diplomat Resort and Spa for being so welcoming, attentive, and for treating us bloggers like royalty for a day!
